Chimeric Use Statement: This is a reformatted human IgG1 Fc Silent Fc Silent™ antibody, based on the original human IgG format, created for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human interleukin-8. Interleukin-8 is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It is released from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus.
Application Notes: This antibody can be used for the detection of human IL-8 in a sample. A combination of YX40 and YX5 or YX20 can be for the detection of human CXCL1 in a sandwich assay, where YX40 was used as a coating antibody and biotinylated YX5 or YX20 was used as detection antibody. This antibody was capable of inhibit IL-8 mediated neutrophil chemotaxis in an in vitro assay. In vivo, this antibody was capable of inhibiting the growth of HCT116 tumor cells (colon tumor cells) in nude mice (CN115850474).
