| Chimeric Use Statement: | This is a reformatted human IgG1 Fc Silent Fc Silent™ antibody, based on the original human IgG format, created for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds human CXCL10. This pro-inflammatory cytokine is involved in a wide variety of processes such as chemotaxis, differentiation, and activation of peripheral immune cells, regulation of cell growth, apoptosis and modulation of angiostatin effects. This protein plays an important role during viral infections by stimulating the activation and migration of immune cells to the infected sites. Binding of CXCL10 to the CXCR3 receptor activates G protein-mediated signaling and results in downstream activation of phospholipase C-dependent pathway, an increase in intracellular calcium production and actin reorganization. |
| Application Notes: | This antibody can be used for the detection of human CXCL10 in an ELISA. A combination of 10D5 and 1C5 can be used in a double antibody sandwich ELISA, where 10D5 is used as a capture antibody and 1C5 is used as a detection antibody. The sensitivity of human CXCL10 detection for this pair was reported to be 1.2ng/ml (CN114656561). |
