Whirl-Pak Hydrated Sponge Bags is an improved way for environmental surface sampling due to the pre-moistened sponge bags. Each bag features a polyurethan sponge, pre-hydrated with HiCap Neutralizing Broth and is terminally gamma processed for sterility. The High Capacity broth is the first of its kind. HiCap neurtalizing broth is a collection broth develped specifically for use in the food and beverage industry. HiCap helps prevent false negative test results due to neutralzing residual sanitizers on the sample surface while maintaining the viability of the collected microorganisms. The PolySponge is medical-grade polyurethan sponge that provides improved rigidity to better handle and manipulate than a cellulose sponge. The PolySponge hydrated has a 2 year shelf-life with ambient storage.
